session guidelines

What to wear: dark tones, denim, leather, flannel shirts, band tees, sunglasses, hats — the grungier the better. Skip busy prints, logos, and pastels; they fight the brick. Everyone doesn't need to match, just bring something that screams you and fun.

Props are welcome, not required: an instrument, skateboard, vinyl, a letterman jacket — anything that says "this is us." We'll work it in.

Weather: this is an outdoor, alley-based session, so it's weather-dependent. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we don't have to cancel — we can move it indoors. The mall, your house, my studio, the Taco Bell parking lot — literally anywhere. We'll figure it out.

Be ready to move: these sessions move fast to beat the light. Show up ready to go — we'll shoot through a few spots quickly rather than linger in one.

This is the stripped-down, fast version. If your family falls for it and wants it big — canvas, metal, the folio box, a size that owns a whole wall — that's a full session. Same energy, full production. Ask at your reveal and we'll build it out.

3You'll get a watermarked digital gallery to pick from. Prints and extra covers are an option right alongside it — no pressure to decide on the spot.
4I do my best to get your gallery delivered within 2 business days — not a guarantee, just my goal. If you need cards printed from these for the holidays, book sooner rather than later so there's time.

Model Release

By booking a Family Band session with Kimberly Marsh Photography, you acknowledge that you and every person participating in your session — including any minors in your care — may be photographed and filmed during the session process. The resulting images and footage — including photos and any video or audio captured during your actual session — may be shared on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and may also be used for marketing and promotional purposes by Kimberly Marsh Photography.

You retain no commercial rights to the images but are welcome to share any digital downloads provided to you for personal use.

Digital downloads and prints must be shared and printed as delivered. Editing, filtering, or altering the images in any way — including through apps, software, or AI tools — is not permitted.

Heads up on the fine print — your deposit is non-refundable, but I’ll do everything I can to make this happen for you even if weather or sickness throws a wrench in it. We’ll figure it out together.
